I just wanted to remind everyone of the Whale Watch we are going on this coming Sunday. I just got off the phone with the whale watch company and they say that there are lots of whales in the area now so this is a great time to go see them. Last weekend they saw 15 humpback whales, a finback and 4 minkes. They have some recent pictures and video on their web site at http://www.capeannwhalewatch.com/index.html . Even the weather looks like it might be cooperating!

Good morning Pack 102!
I hope this soggy day finds you all well. I have checked the weather for the remainder of the day today, and have found that we are due for some afternoon thunderstorms. With that, I have decided that everyone’s safety is more important than building camaraderie, so I am cancelling the bike ride.

Pack 102 will be hosting its first pack meeting of the year on September 23rd. It will be held at the Crisafulli Cafeteria starting at 6:30.

While we hope that everyone can make it for the entire event, we also understand that some people may not be able to attend the entire activity so please join us for as much of the event as you can. If you can’t make it to the cook-out please come for the campfire in the evening. If you can’t or don’t want to camp-out feel free to head home after the campfire – but please do try and join us as we want as much of the pack to participate as possible. This event is open to scouts, their families, and friends who want to find out what scouting is like. All we ask is that all scouts have parental supervision during the event.

Now that the Blue and Gold is behind us I wanted to let you know what is in store for the reminder of the Scouting year. We have lots of upcoming activities that will be great opportunities for our Cubs to get out and show their scouting spirit. In now that our Cub Scouts have earned their rank badges they now have the ability to work on additional achievements.
